New start of legal cooperation Armenia-Cyprus

Today Demetrios Demetriades, the founder of DADLAW, the leading law firm in Cyprus, arrived in Armenia. The guest had a meeting in AM law firm with Grigor Minasyan, the managing partner and Narine Sargsyan, chief legal adviser, advocate. The law firm DADLAW has more than a dozen clients, who wish to do business in Armenia. Thus, an agreement was reached between two largest law firms to cooperate for the purpose of legal support in investments in Armenia and Cyprus.

Taking into consideration that AM law firm is the host side in Yerevan of the European Public Law Organization operating in Athens, the above-mentioned cooperation is another step to the development of the long-standing Armenian-Greek amity.

«AM» Law Firm participated in the cycling contest devoted to the Constitution Day

On 5 July a cycling contest devoted to the Constitution Day was held in Yerevan, which was organized with the support of the Ministry of Sport and Youth affairs and GMG MediaGroup.

More than 60 cyclists were participating  in the race, including the representatives of AM Law Firm team.  Davit Hunanyan, chief legal adviser, partner, Vardan Harutyunyan, senior legal adviser and Artyom Stepanyan, legal adviser had a serious approach towards the race and, at the same time got a  great satisfaction from their participation.

The solution against the priceincrease of electricity was proposed by “AM” Law

Today a public proposal was made to Yevgeniy Bibin General Director of “ENA” CJSC by Grigor Minasyan Managing Director of AM Law Firm. The proposal reads as follows:

 “Sharing the anxiety of our numerous nationals on the price increase of electricity we wish to alleviate the current difficult situation by constructive cooperation.

The “ENA” CJSC justifies the price increase with its expenses, which exceed the received proceeds. The presented expenses obviously include large amounts of money which are provided for acquisition of legal and accounting services, as well.

Taking into consideration the influence of the price increase of electricity on numerous vulnerable people, as well as truly feeling corporate social responsibility, “AM” Law firm proposes its legal and accounting services at the half price of the amount paid to other companies by “ENA”.  Namely, we propose to reduce your expenses by 50% at least for these two articles and to lessen proportionally your bid on the increase of electricity price.”

 “AM” Law Firm invokes other suppliers and service providers as well to join this public proposal. Namely, we propose other businesses to sell their high-quality products and services to “ENA” at considerably cheaper price and thereby  contribute to the reduction of the unnecessary expenses of “ENA”, consequently to suspend the price increase extremely painful for many people.

Valuable case decision in the result of cooperation of advocate Vahe Grigoryan and AM Law Firm

RA Court of Cassation satisfied the cassation petition prepared in the result of teamwork of advocate Vahe Grigoryan  and advocate of AM Law Firm Vanik Margaryan and by his decision gave  a number of valuable legal interpretations (ԵԿԴ/1791/02/11, 30.04.2015).

Among other questions, particularities of the relations of purchase and sale between spouses during the marriage and legal consequences of such purchase and sale. In particular, the Court of Cassation protocoled that right of  joint ownership of spouses may not occur in the result of the acquisition of property of the spouse by the other spouse while lower courts interpreted the law differently.
